Single Scope Background Investigation and the USMC?

When I was about 16yrs old, I dabble with drug culture a good bit. For a few months i smoked marijuana everyday and even tried psilocybin mushrooms. At this time of my life I did not think that I would ever come to consider joining the Marine Corps. Now I am 18, much more mature and haunted by the error of my ways. I enlisted into the Marine Corps and am trying to be a Signal Intelligence analyst under MOS 26. Not until recently did I know that I would have to undergo a Single Scope Background Investigation as well as a polygraph test. Not only am i scared about that but when I enlisted I didn't tell the recruiters the whole truth about my run in with drugs when I was younger and am scared that I'll get busted for the inconsistency in my stories as well as lying. Any advice would be highly appreciate. I really screwed up and hopefully I can leave my past behind me once and for all.

Yes, it is very possible that you reduced your caloric intake too much causing your body to go into a defense / starvation mode slowing your metabolism. Many people go too extreme on calorie cutting when trying to lose body fat. Figure out how many cals your getting now and stick with it until the weight loss stops (stops for at least 1 week). No matter the source a cal is a cal. The gummy's and soda are not the best choice for nutrition but you have to let yourself have a few things you really enjoy. Good Luck

water was spilled on my laptop and i dont know for how long it had been soaked in water, maybe at most 5 hours. at first, when i discovered it, the standby signal was on but it wasn't blinking. i was sure though that i turned it off last night. pressed the CTRL key, then it really went off. seconds later, it turned itself on. i would have stopped it but then i decided to wait what would happen, anyway i didn't do anything to it. but when the OS started running, it hung up. so i immediately removed the battery to stop any further damage. i left it turned upside down for two hours hoping it would drain the rest of the water. i turned it on afterwards but it wont anymore.help!

Should I attend UCI FEMBA or USC.PM MBA program?

I was recently accepted to both programs and only have about a week to decide. I've wanted to go to USC for such a long time but my acceptance to UCI came about 2 months earlier and I've grown quite fond of the school. The UCI staff is very friendly and personable. They all know me on a first name basis. Class size is smaller. Commute is shorter. Course load is lighter ( 2 classes per quarter compared to 3 classes at USC And also UCI has summers off). Tuition is $20k cheaper at UCI. UCI seems to have a good amount of resources for my industry interests. USC of course has a better reputation and a stronger network. Basically my mind is set on UCI and my heart on USC. What should I do?

Contemplating if i am gifted?

i have obsessed of the thought of me being gifted. i fit nearly all the behaviors of gifted when i read it. i just found out about the defined and study of the gifted. and it fits me. but i do not perform in school well and i have huge walls with people. i have learned to be average. but in me there is this craziness. i am extremely introspective when bored with life, and i am frequently bored with life. my dad is an alcoholic which is known to have an affect on behavior inconsistency, and my behavior is inconsistent. i have to be sound in the mind to function the way i feel is adequate for myself. it seems that is always found in faith or true acceptance from people. i have been fully convinced i am gifted at some points and then doubt myself others. it has turned into an obsession. i know i am capable of doing great in school. it seems my thoughts are always somewhere beyond the school system. i am constantly thinking. i am able to see peoples motives and the way people think beyond comfort. i am frequently nervous in social situations, i feel like i am in a great habit of suppressing myself. i also seem to be able to explain myself better by writing rather than talking. the question is am i gifted? or could i be? i have always felt different, not in a bad way, but just am. (on an intellectual and emotional level) i am also able to perceive and actually do perceive life in a whole different level than others. i am very sensitive to morals especially when i listen to myself.

This computer has been working bad forty awhile now. Its still useful but every time I plug it in I have to position the cord a certain way Every time. Somtimes when I plug it in it does not turn on. Stick with schedule B. While grades are important, they're not the only thing that colleges take into account and in school or out of school extra curricular activities are a must for NYU or any other college really. Plus, the AP classes are also core subjects, which colleges prize and you need time off to deal with homework and other activities. Besides too many AP classes, not only bring your GPA down but can hurt your overall chances at a college as someone who does everything but is not spectacular at anything. Like a jack of all trades but master of none type.

There is only one problem with paralleling LEDs . Blinkers do not parallel nicely. Seperate resistors are more expensive ( and weight) . Check into batteries & see if you can get an eveready # 246 battery . which is a 9 volt battery with 3 times the mA rating of a regular 9vdc battery.

I was using Photoshop Pro to edit a couple of photos where people blinked, and so I was using my lasso tool. Outer corner of my eye is split?

A long time ago I had something hit my eye and the outer corner (closest to my ear) split. Now it looks like a V. The same thing happened to my other eye. I doesn't hurt but when I blink the moisture goes in the split. Never a problem, until I started wearing makeup. I can't put any eye liner near it because it leaks off. If a question is asked by the general population here, and the source used by them is provided by sources who are also critical of the group (with documented proofs of inconsistencies), why do they continue to defend the answers with blanket pastes, then attack the credibility of the asker? Why are they so defensive, not giving an answer with a "mild spirit"?

Lied on Citizenship Interview. Possibly deported?

A friend of mine just had their US Citizenship interview. He has been deported in the past and came back a second time. The immigration officer has asked him during their USC interview if he had ever been deported, and he said no (as the his lawyer advised him to deny it). At the end of the interview, the officer did tell him that there was a record of deportation that showed up on his file through fingerprint verification. He received letter from the officer saying that his citizenship was pending approval. I did tell him it was stupid to lie, since they have records of everything. But now I want to know if he will be granted the citizenship, or will there be other consequences. What do you think?

On Saturday i went to the doctor to buy glasses but decided to buy contacts well that first day everything was fine till second day i notice that my left eye was getting cloudy and when i blink goes clear than again cloudy and the right eye is okay. What to do w/ a swollen upper eyelid?

Sounds like a stye in ur eye to me Wich is basically an ingrown eye lash if I'm not mistaken. They wont always be red. A good thing for that is a hot tea bag. I usually heat a cup of hot water and dunk the tea bag in it and let it sit in my eye until its not hot anymore just don't make it too hot to where it scolds you. Make it hot enough to stand but not burn. This helps with the swelling and discomfort. Hope this helps. Even if its not a stye it will still help with swelling ad discomfort.

2001 chevy cavalier warning light problems?

i recently had a lot of work done on my cavalier. a new sub frame was put in, a new timing belt, spark plugs, gaskets, fuel filter, brake line was flush. Most of the work was done because the first person to work on the car screwed up a lot of things. but that's another story. today I was driving and the TRAC OFF light came on, followed by THEFT SYSTEM and SERVICE. I parked the car, shut it off and turned it on. no lights. i drove a few feet, the THEFT SYSTEM and the SERVICE light came on and then the BRAKE light and one other light ( i couldn't catch what it was) blinked on and off and those other two stood on...any ideas what's going on?

Acu-rite 00896 Digital Wireless Rain gauge problem?

Yes my parents had an Acu-rite Digital Wireless Rain Gauge just sitting in its package in the house for about a year or so. Hadn't been opened or used. I thought I would open it and set it up for them. I open it and do as the instructions tell me to do. Place batteries in the indoor receiver first, then put batteries in the outdoor receiver. It shows that it connect but the problem is. the low battery light on the outdoor receiver keeps blinking and they are brand new batteries. i tried different ones and the problem is the same. I know its an old rain gauge but does anyone know what is going on with this thing?? I have googled everywhere and found nothing to help considering its older. Help would be much appreciated.

Toshiba laptop problems with the webcam?

I have a year old Toshiba laptop with a built in webcam and ever since I got this laptop it has been giving me trouble. I have never used the webcam or anything. Everytime I turn on my laptop and go on the web the brightness on the screen on the computer dulls than lightens back to normal, it's the wierdest thing! There is a little light that is on right now next to the webcam that shows up blue and every time the screen lightens it turns on and every time it dulls it turns off. And now it's blinking! Is my cellphone broken for good?

I dropped my phone at night about a week ago and couldn't find I until the next morning. The stickers inside said there was no water damage but when I opened the back there was water in it. Why won't my iPod Shuffle charge?

Okay, so it's plugged into my laptop and it's connected to iTunes. But it won't charge. So here's the thing--it's an iPod Shuffle, kinda new (well, compared to some since I bought it in February) and while it's synced to iTunes, the iPod itself has an orange light blinking on it. If you wrote a completely amazing essay & applied to Cornell Early Decision then its possible. MIT, no, Stanford I would be surprised. Your ACT kinda saves your low GPA for those types of schools. I think you have a pretty good chance at Illinois, Wash., & UNC. Carnegie Mellon you might but Texas-Austin would also be kinda a stretch because of the amount they accept out-of-state. If your talking about USC as in South Carolina then yes but I'm almost positive your not haha but Southern Cal might also be a stretch, not sure. You should be fine though with your choices.

I watch videos on basketball lessons on youtube, I watch videos of kobe and michael jordan play, and I continually am outside practicing on my hoop. I watch videos on how to improve a jump shot and go out and try it, I watch videos on drills to try to improve dribbling and go out and try it, etc. But I just feel like I am not good enough because i miss several shots at random times, and i hate that inconsistency. I just don't feel good enough. Also, i've never formally played on a team in a league. Unfortunately, I'm a cross country runner, so I most likely could not try out for the basketball team in fall or do any basketball summer camps because I'm already doing running camps. But I want to improve for several reasons: to feel confident about playing the game i love, to have a chance to try out for basketball junior year, and for the future (college). can anyone tell me what i need to do to find myself, and to improve myself as a basketball player? any suggestions, hints, advice, anything?

How can I improve my senior year and get accepted at USC?

Next year i'm going to be a Senior, and I'm wanting to attend the University of South Carolina. So far my overall GPA is around a 2.8, I want at least a 3.2 my senior year; so that my overall will become a 3.0. I haven't took the SAT or ACT yet but I will in the fall. About 15 years or so ago i suddenly developed a problem. One day I was very tired and layed down for a nap, facing the wall. All of a sudden I felt someone push my shoulder real hard ( I was all alone in the house). After that i noticed every time I was falling asleep ,something would move. Then I didn't even have to be falling asleep any more, it would just happen any time I was resting.I'm talking about my hand, foot, hips, shoulders, waist anything. Sometimes I sleep with my hand under my cheek, and all of a sudden it just pulls out from under my cheek. I have learned that the more tired or stressed out I am the worse it gets, if not then I just get a very mild twitch. Oh, and if its a really big one, sometimes in the blink of an eye I get like a teeny little tickle on my back before it happens. I've always wondered if it's some kind of epilepsy. Feels like something in my eye, after taking contacts out?

Alright so here's my problem. For the past few MONTHS i've been having problems with my eyes and feels like there is something in both of them. It definitely feels like particles are in my eyes, after I take out my contacts and some times very rarely I feel them when my contacts are in. If I blink hard I can feel the particles moving around, but if I don't they seem to settle behind my eye. I have tried eye drops, flushing, pulling my lid down, but that's about it. My eye exam dude looked at them, and he said they didn't see anything, and my eye looks perfect. Any suggestions on what to do to get it out? I am seriously fed up with having this stuff in my eyes... there is DEFINITELY something in there, I just cannot get it out. Also, when changing out my contacts I noticed there was a hole in one a few months ago, maybe that is in one of my eyes. I don't know for sure, but does anyone have any more suggestions? Hi, I have a GE Cell Fusion phone system. I recently moved, and at my new home I do not have home phone service. I am completely devastated. So I went to bed around 4 am the other night and I heard a commotion in the living room. I assumed this was my two cats chasing each other like usual. I got up to see what they were doing and saw my cat Domino frantically trying to open the cupboard under the bathroom sink. He got it open and jumped in there. I crouched down to see him and noticed that he was on his side and he started twitching violently. Then his head went back and his paw twitched a few more times then he stopped moving. I started crying hysterically hoping he was not dead but I just knew. Then I noticed his eyes were wide open and he was not blinking. I literally saw the life go out of him and I knew he was dead. I cant understand why this happened. He was only 8 years old and I loved him so much. I didnt even know if he was sick the only thing out of the ordinary was that he got kind of skinny. i do not see how you wont make it into UC Berkeley. you have an impressive college resume with those high standardized test scores and extracurricular activities. the only problem you may face is the economy. UC Berkeley has had to cut back a lot and they are excepting less and less students. first priority is always the California Community College transfers. but with everything you got on the list, you should be a top candidate.

My hp laptop screen won't turn on?

I just tried turning on my laptop and I can hear it turning on, but the screen won't start up. I don't think the actual screen is broken, because if it was just the screen, my wireless internet button would change from orange to white after it has been on for a little bit. BLACKBERRY BOLD black screen, still on?!?

After taking the battery out of my Blackberry Bold, the red LED light goes on for a few seconds and the screen shows the loading clock for about 10 seconds then turns black. About 3 seconds later i can lightly see the rebooting screen but it turns black again. I know the phone is on because when i wait, i can see the red LED light blinking because of messages. I have a friend who has helped me a great deal with my son. She has taken him to appointments, watched him on weekends, etc. I started seeing a new guy a year ago and she continued to help me during that period. Windows 7 boots to a BLACK screen with no cursor, unable to use f8 function?

Im using a toshiba satellite L505D ES5024 and when I turn the computer on, it would boot to the toshiba screen, and then a blinking underscore would appear on the top left corner and dissapear. The screen will then remain blank as I have left it like this for an hour already.. I have no windows 7 disc, and the f8 function does NOT work. it only leads to the same blank screen. Why haven't I had a lucid dream- what have I been doing wrong?

So the other week I watched a video on how to lucid dream. I've been keeping a dream journal for roughly a month, and some nights I forget to write my dreams down. My advice would be to sit for the foreign language AP exams you mentioned even if you don't take the class. Still, it probably won't look great to only have 3 credits in most of your core subjects. I'd recommend taking at least one class over the summer or doing something really interesting while your abroad instead of just "studying" for no credit. Even if you work like crazy, no grades and no test scores are going to make it look like you just spent a year having a good time.

For some reason very often i will get an eyelash in my eye, but I normally find that if I blink alot or touch my eye it will come out of the tear duct bit. Problem is that something got caught in my eye today and i think it was an eyelash again, i blinked a lot and nothing happened so then without thinking I rubbed it because it hurt and now I have a red blotch near the coloured part of my eye (the iris I think) and it feels slightly itchy. They are only disallowing them from forcing others to see or hear it. There is no command in the Bible that forces a follower to pray in public, or talk about God during school hours. Do I agree with this. No. A school should not force any student to observe any religious practice, but I believe that a students' free speech should not be infringed. The problem, however, is that it was decided that offensive language could be prohibited at a public school. Most people would agree with that. But apparently atheists find any mention of God offensive, so it has gotten sticky. What would happen if a Muslim filed suit because a school mentioned pork, and he/she felt offended? Who knows. You should be able to get into Notre Dame, NYU, Wake Forest and USC without going early decision. (Being Chinese should help you at Notre Dame and Wake Forest, but your numbers and 11 AP courses are enough to get you in.) You should also be able to get into UNC since you are both a state resident and male (which will help you there). Applying early decision will increase your chances at Cornell and Johns Hopkins, but there are no guarantees there.

If you weren't prepared to sit the exam again, why didn't you cancel your scores while you still had the chance? Then Stanford would never have seen them. Unfortunately, your grades are higher than your SAT II scores, which suggests to the admissions officers that your teachers are easy graders or that grade inflation is rampant at your school, devaluing your good grades. I would just keep my distance. ANd you know what, maybe YOU can be that person that comes if he needs help changing a tire. But just don't let him take advantage of you. Be there when he genuinely needs the help. And don't let his problems become the burden of your life.
