Why do right wingers hold on to their unsound ideology in the face of logical inconsistencies?

What we proposed would not have added a trillion dollars to the deficit, nor would it have extended government control into a private industry. If you read the health care "reform" you find it has less to do with care and a lot to do with control and regulation.
